Transformation, then, is not about becoming someone God can finally love. It is about becoming more fully who we were created to be—and allowing that deeper sense of belovedness to change the way we live, love, and move through the world. 💛

# Dont miss this week’s Table Talk with our writer and dear friend, James Blay! ✨✨✨

James is the former Vice President of Administration at the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary. He now serves as the Coordinator for Children’s Programs God who moves through silence and song, through stillness and stirring— teach us to listen for the rhythm of Your grace. When the world feels rushed, slow our steps. When the moment calls, steady our courage.
Help us not only to count the days, God is still moving—sometimes in the slow work of mending, sometimes in the sudden prompting to speak, or to reach out, or to stay with someone’s pain a little longer than is comfortable.

Our invitation is simply this:
To stay awake. To b There’s a constant keeping of time happening all around us.

The sun measures each day with its rising and setting, stretching shadows long in the morning and drawing them in again at dusk. Let your nearness guide us
and your grace hold us always.
Amen. 💛
To truly see another person—to name their existence, their struggle, their grace—is an act of holy nearness. To say to each other: You are loved. You are seen. You are known. You are knit together in divine goodness. You are not alone, fo Jacob arrives at the Jabbok carrying a complicated past and an uncertain future. And there, in the darkness of night, he wrestles with God until morning.

I imagine this story could connect with all of us, because we all know something about that kin Like seeds that germinate in the dark. And roots that grow beneath the surface. New life sometimes begins before there is anything visible to us. Even the stars we see at night are reminders that there is more happening in the night than our eyes can Our nights can bring us face-to-face with our limitations and our potential, our humanity and our belovedness.

Maybe that is what we need to remember when the night feels long: We do not have to have everything figured out before we are loved. We do The Gospels tell us Jesus was often interrupted as he was on the way somewhere. Someone needed healing. Someone had a question. Someone wanted to tell a story. The crowds appeared when he was trying to get away.

Again and again, Jesus stopped. He
